When selecting a place to camp for the night, try to make sure the place you pick has a good running water source without any contamination. Remember to walk up stream for at least 50 to100 meters to see if there are any signs of contamination. Try to make sure the spot you pick is safe from any flooding in case the rain gets heavy during the night.

Also try to make sure you are sheltered from any strong winds that may build during the night.
