The common Chick Weed

Common Chick Weed

This is the common chick weed. It has a refreshing flavour and can be used in salads 

or as a garnish to help make a meal that bit more interesting. It was introduced to the 

UK by the Victorians and was grown for the table but soon became a nuisance and

is now considered to be a weed and in many cases a pest, but is really 

pleasant to the pallet.
